In 2015 Timur Bekmambetov established a charitable foundation in Switzerland which is aimed to support and development of Russian and Kazakh cultures. The main purpose of the Foundation is to popularize Kazakh and Russian cultures in Switzerland and throughout the world, in particular, by promoting works of art and artistic creativity.
